Both Kirstie Alley and Ralph Macchio found themselves on the bottom half of the final four last night on Dancing With The Stars.
It is hard to say that there were any real losers in last night’s Dancing with the Stars. All four of the remaining dancers gave it their all in an exhausting night that saw them each perform three different dances including a winner take all cha cha cha for 15 bonus points at the end of the show. Since we are down to the final four I had chosen Hines and Chelsea as my winners this week which means by default that makes Ralph Macchio and Kirstie Alley this week’s DWTS losers.
Kirstie Alley had an emotional week of rehearsals, but there was a very funny moment when she described how she and pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s relationship worked. It starts out hugs, turns to a catfight and ends up back at hugs. I have been rough on Kirstie the last few weeks and watching her last night I think my criticisms are valid. She is simply slower, less agile and not as energetic as the other three dancers. I give her all the credit in the world and she is doing a great job, but in my eyes she isn’t on the level of the other three and I get a feeling like the Dancing With The Stars judges are grading her on a curve and take it easy on her for some reason. She scored two 27’s for a total of 54 last night while Ralph Macchio took home a 25 and a 23 for a total 48. When you watch these two dance they have two different styles, but you can’t tell me that she was seriously 6 points better.
Ralph Macchio is getting a raw deal. I don’t know why, but the judges seem to have it out for him. He did some good stuff on the dance floor and while it wasn’t perfect, I think it was better than they gave him credit for. His first dance was good, but the judges found him too cold while I thought he was trying to be stern and solid. During the second dance he went the opposite direction and let it all hang out. It had moments that were a little sloppy, but it was fun. Now Len and Bruno thought it was too much. You could tell Ralph’s DWTS partner Karina Smirnoff was getting frustrated. There was no making them happy. She was also not happy when Bruno uttered a few sexual innuendos her way (she was dressed like a cat and while they bleeped what he said it appeared that he said, “Ralph you let your pussy control you.”). Ralph Macchio probably deserved better than he got from the judges and will need a lot of help from the fans if is going to survive tonight and make it the finals.
Logic would tell us that tonight it will either be Kirstie Alley or Ralph Macchio that goes home. Tune in tonight to the Dancing With The Stars results show starting at 8PM on ABC to see who goes home and who moves into the finals.

Home » News » Dancing With The Stars 2011 – Hines Ward Cries, Chelsea Kane Flies
Hines Ward sets his emotions aside and joins Chelsea Kane atop the Dancing With The Stars leader board.
Last night was an exhausting, emotional night on Dancing with the Stars that saw each contestant perform three dances including a winner take all instant cha cha cha dance at the end of the night. With only four dancers left last night was a big night where the dancers had to give it their all if they wanted to move into the finals. Two dancers in particular seized the moment and did all they could to move forward. My two picks for this week’s DWTS winners are Hines Ward and Chelsea Kane.
Hines Ward had a rough week. As he and partner Kym Johnson rehearsed they were practicing some pretty wild lifts when he fell on top of her. She basically landed with all of his and her weight on her neck. It is a pretty ugly crash and as she lay on the floor she said she couldn’t feel her arms. She was taken by ambulance and Hines was beside himself with grief. After getting checked out she was released, sore but with no permanent damage. Kym stepped up last night and danced when it was unsure if she would even be able to and together they were amazing. Their first dance brought the Dancing With The Stars crowd and judges to their feet and brought Hines to tears. They got the season’s first perfect 30. Hines Ward’s second dance got another perfect 30. You could argue that the judges were easy on him because of what had happened this past week, but still, back-to-back 30’s is impressive.
Chelsea Kane was firecracker. She got a tongue lashing from the judges on the first dance for not being technically sound, but I thought she did the dance pretty well. They still gave her good scores and her second dance blew them away and netted her a perfect 30. During the DWTS winner take all cha cha cha. Each couple danced for 45 seconds then two finalists were chosen. They had 3 minutes to rehearse and then went back out for another 45 seconds. The winner got an additional 15 points added to their score which would all bout guarantee them a spot in the finals. Hines and Chelsea faced off in the finals and it was clear from the start that it was Chelsea Kane who was in control of this. She did some cool lifts and was focused. She was not going to be denied and got all three judges votes. Her winning the extra 15 points pretty much assures that she will be safe tonight and will be in the finals.
Hines Ward and Chelsea Kane stepped up at the right moments and saved their best for last. I would be extremely shocked if either one of these two were sent home tonight. Tune into the DWTS results show starting tonight at 8PM on ABC to find out who is sent home and who your final three dancers are.

If May 21st was actually the end of the world, which celebrity would you want to meet?
I think everyone knows my answer; Taylor Swift! Keep in mind that I do NOT believe in the what some call, wacky thoughts of Harold Camping nor do I think that the world is ending on May 21st which is this Saturday. That being said, let’s say that hypothetically the world was going to end, what celebrity would you want to meet before total annihilation? (Remember this is strictly for fun as the world is not actually coming to an end)
For me, I’d pick Taylor Swift because she is such a genuine human being [from what I’ve seen/heard on TV, in the news and in magazines]. I’d be happy if the last person I met before the May 21st doomsday was Swift, no doubt about it. I know everyone has that one celebrity they have always wanted to meet. Don’t be afraid to comment below and let us all know which celebrity you’d choose. Feel free to express your thoughts on the whole end of the world ordeal as well. Do any of you actually believe this nonsense?

Who in the world dies and who breaks up tonight on the brand new episode of Glee?
It looks like it could be a very sad week on Glee. Tonight’s new episode is entitled Funeral and ever since a few still spoiler photos leaked there have been rumors, guesses and gossip as to who dies. While the Glee Season 2 producers are being very tight lipped the word is that the loss of this person rocks the students of McKinley High.
While we don’t know who is in the casket we do know that this week New Directions begins to put together their strategy for winning their first Nationals. Rachel’s (Lea Michele) Ex Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff) is brought in to help which doesn’t make Finn (Cory Monteith) very happy. Jesse and Finn butt heads with Rachel stuck in the middle of the power struggle.
Rumors have also been spreading that in addition to the funeral, a favorite couple will also break up. As all the drama and sadness unfolds Sue (Jane Lynch) hatches her own plans to make sure that New Directions doesn’t make it to Nationals.
As with any episode of Glee we will get plenty of music. The full glee club coves version of Amy Winehouse’s “Back in Black” and they do a version of “Pure Imagination” from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Also covered are the Otis Redding classics “Try a Little Tenderness” and “My Man” from the movie/play Funny Girl.
It should be an emotional action packed episode of Glee Season 2 that leads up to next week’s season finale.
