American Idol 2011 Top 3 Song List Spoilers – Celeb News

american idol top threeThe American Idol Top 3 will head home this week and sing three songs, here are the song list spoilers.

This week is big for the Top 3 on American Idol. First off, they all get to go home and were welcomed like conquering heroes. They had parades in their honor, sang in front of huge crowds and Haley Reinhart’s home town even made in Haley Reinhart Day. While the singers were off getting some home cooking and seeing friends and family they also found out what songs the judges had picked for them to sing.

This week the contestants will all sing three songs. They will have one chosen by the judges, one chosen by Jimmy Iovine and one that they choose themselves. Being that the songs are performed in their hometown, we do have spoilers this week! While we only know 1 out of the 3 songs the American Idol top 3, it’s better than going into tonight blind, right?

Here is what we know so far. Each American Idol judge got to pick one song. Those choices are:

Jennifer Lopez chose “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack for Lauren Alaina. This seems like a nice safe choice for her and should be a song she can really sink her teeth into.

Steven Tyler chose “She Believes in Me” by Kenny Rogers for Scotty McCreery. This is a great choice. Scotty’s deep voice should tear this song up.

Randy Jackson apparently wants to destroy Haley Reinhart because he chose Alanis Morrisette’s “You Oughta Know.” This is the worst possible situation for her. For starters she will have to sing the cleaned up version which causes the song to lose some of its edge. From there it doesn’t get any better. This is one of those iconic songs that has such a unique sound and so ingrained into the public thought that there almost no way she can pull this off. Maybe if she flips it and turns it into a very slow jazz song or something she could make it her own, but short of that this is a disaster waiting to happen. Just see Cyrstal Bowersox getting blown off the stage by Alanis last season for all the evidence you need.

The rest of the songs for tonight’s American Idol top 3 are being heavily guarded. So here are a few predictions I had for what I would like them to sing:

Scotty McCreery: I would love to see him do Travid Tritt’s “Here’s a Quarter (call someone who cares)” or John Denvers “Thank God I’m a Country Boy.”

Haley Reinhart: I would like to see her do something like “Magic Man” by Heart or “Black Velvet” by Ahannah Myles.

Lauren Alaina: I think she could do “Don’t Impress Me Much” By Shania Twain and have a good time with it or maybe she could do a little Poison and sing “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.”

So there you have it. Some songs we know the Top 3 will do on American Idol this week as well as some that I would like to see them do. Tune in on Wednesday night at 8PM on Fox to watch the Top 3 sing and see footage of their wild homecomings.

American Idol 2011 – Randy Jackson Hates Haley Reinhart? – Celeb News

randy jackson american idolIf you have been watching American Idol 2011 this season, it’s clear two of the judges are out to get Haley Reinhart.

Who hates Haley Reinhart on American Idol? If you’ve been watching this season, it’s clear that two of the judges are out to get Haley. Both Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson have been nothing but disapproving week in and week out; yet they praised the musical reject, Stefano Langone. Now, some people will say that Haley is stuck up or has a bad attitude but I completely disagree. The kid is probably the most talented musician left [not saying Scotty and Lauren aren’t talented] and she has a right to get pissed off when the judges hate on her.

Last week it seemed like Randy Jackson and Jennifer Lopez were out to crucify Haley Reinhart after she performed her first track. Of course, Haley came back at them with a vengeance with “I (Who Have Nothing)” and delivered what was quite possibly the best performance of the 2011 American Idol competition. [I looked at that performance as a big “F**k you” to Randy and JLo] I realize that since I’m a supporter of Haley and have been all season, maybe I’m overlooking the behavior everyone claims she portrays. [bratty, stuck-up]

That being said, I’d like to hear your thoughts on Haley Reinhart and the American Idol judges. Do you think Randy Jackson and Jennifer Lopez are too harsh on her? Why would they praise Stefano Langone and hate on Haley? Does she have a shot at winning American Idol Season 10? Comment below!

American Idol Final Three Poll (May 18, 2011) – Celeb News

scotty mccreery american idol season 10Who will be the winner of American Idol 2011?

Three American Idol contestants remain and tomorrow night another will be eliminated. With the season 10 finale just one week away, I want to know who you are rooting for to win. While I’ve expressed how much I love Haley Reinhart and her voice, I highly doubt she is going to win. I’m predicting that Lauren Alaina will walk away as the champion. Who do you think will be the American Idol winner?

I’ve thrown together an American Idol poll to see if we can’t predict the winner. It’s down to the wire and tonight the final three head home to perform live. With three songs in their lineup tonight, it’s definitely time to see who’s “in it to win it” as Randy Jackson says. Like I said above, I’d love for Haley Reinhart to win it but I don’t think that will happen. Scotty McCreery is an amazing country singer but he’s a little too country to win American Idol. That being said, Lauren Alaina is country but she has this poppy deal going on as well; similar to Carrie Underwood. I predict Lauren will win.

Tune in tonight at 8|7c on FOX to watch the American Idol Top 3 perform three songs in hopes of making it to next week’s finale.

Vote on the poll below and feel free to comment on your winner predictions and thoughts on the American Idol final three.

Dancing With The Stars Results: Ralph Macchio Elimination Predictions – Celeb News

Home » News » Dancing With The Stars Results: Ralph Macchio Elimination Predictions

ralph macchio week 9Tonight I predict that Ralph Macchio will be voted off of Dancing With The Stars.

Going into tonight’s Dancing with the Stars results show it seems to me that the writing is pretty much on the wall. Having won the winner take all cha cha cha Chelsea Kane all but punched her ticket to the finals. With 73 points she is 13 points ahead of Hines Ward and 25 ahead of last place Ralph Macchio. If she is voted out tonight it will be the biggest shock in the DWTS history. Hines Ward, having just scored two perfect 30’s, is also likely in. That leaves it between Kirstie Alley and Ralph Macchio. One of them will go home and the other will move on to the finals.

Last night we got to know a little bit more about the DWTS dancers and where they come from.  Featuring interviews with their families, friends, co-workers and even former employers we found out where the stars came from and who they are. To me these video packages might help sway votes one way or the other. If you compare Ralph Macchio and Kirstie Alley’s stories, he is a guy who wanted to act his whole life, got a break at a young age, became a huge star for a while and never let it go to his head. He married his high school sweetheart, has two kids and lives a pretty normal life. He seems like a committed father and husband and an all-around good guy. Kirstie is from the Midwest, developed a terrible drug habit with cocaine, but eventually got clean and moved to Hollywood. The same week she got her first big role (in a Star Trek movie) her parents were in a car accident that killed her mom and nearly killed her dad. While Ralph Macchio  had his wife, kids and parents talking about him, Kirstie had her family as well as big stars like John Travolta and Kelly Preston. She seemed very much the celebrity TV and movie star while Ralph came off more like an average guy who happens to be an actor. Depending on your sensibilities, one of those life stories may appeal to your more than another and could sway some votes.

In the end I think that Ralph Macchio is the better dancer and deserves to go to the finals, but I think the Dancing With The Stars producers want Kirstie Alley because she is a bigger name and the more controversial choice which will get them more press. So my prediction is that Kirstie will survive and move on and tonight Ralph Macchio will get voted out of DWTS.

UPDATE: Ralph HAS been voted off of Dancing With The Stars 2011!
