There has been a good deal of problems getting at Bank of America Online today for peoples in most state departments. At first it was believed that the website was only offline for peoples in Maryland, Michigan, California and a couple of other state departments. However that doesn’t appear to be the display case. The on line sign in for bankofamerica.com seemed to be down for most locations in the U.S.

The website appears to be return for most peoples. More likely if it is still down for you, it should be up relatively shortly. It is probably just an upshot with delayed DNS caching.

Bank of America Corp. says its on line banking service was down for about four hours but service has been restored.

A representative for the commonwealth’s largest bank, Tara Burke, worsened to specify a ground for Fri’s outage except to say that it was a “impermanent system” publication.

She could not say whether the site has experienced a similar wide outage before.

The banking company, based in Charlotte, NECK, said service was reinstated at around 5:15 post meridiem EDT. The outage began at around 1:25 p.m. EDT. Some customers may still have trouble signing on because of the book of peoples trying to get at the web site.

Customers can also get account information from ATMs or banking centers. Burke said none of Bank of America’s 18,000 ATMs were touched by the outage.
